I love to read, and what better than to combine two things you love to do. What books on bow making, or archery history would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

I suggest Ishi- by Theodora Krober,the lightning stick by Henrietta Stockel,the bowyers bibles,Billets to Bows by Glen St.Charles,Bows&arrows of the Native Americans by Jim Hamm,and one of my favorites The Witchery of Archery by Maurice Thompson. Cant go wrong with any of em!

I love the Witchery of Archery, but, hey, That's the area I hunt in Astoria along the St. Johns River.

Besides the ones mentioned, some of my favorites on my shelf are Toxicated by Fred Anderson; A Thousand Campfires by Jay Massey; Bows on the Little Delta by Glenn St. Charles; The whole 4-volume set of The Traditional Bowyer's Bible; Hunting With the Bow and Arrow by Saxton Pope; both volumes of Encyclopedia of Native American Bows, Arrows, and Quivers by Hamm and Allely; Fred Bear's Field Notes, and Hunting the Hard Way by Howard Hill.

I know, just jokes. I have a hard time giving loaned books back. I had a teacher years ago tell me that a book is never to be given back, only given to someone else. I guess I may have taken that to heart.
