Japanese yew

I have a 40" stave of Japanese yew or ornamental yew. I was thinking about sticking some sinew on her and giving it a go. What's a realistic draw legth to shoot for? Bendy handle

20" to 22"
 I have a  longer stave of Japanese yew(maybe Anglo/jap yew) so I'll be watching this.

+ 1 on pats comment, the sinew will help you get that 22" with out a problem. Can you post a few pics of the stave?

28" if ya splice in 10"+ siyahs/levers on each end...

To each there own..BUT...Is the stave worth the work of sinewing? Pics please ..u know better ;)

Is the stave wide enough to split down the middle and make a spliced or take-down bow???  I guess someone already mentioned that PIX would be nice...

So the stave is actually 49"! So what's a realistic draw now? If sinewed maybe like 26"?

It's about 1 1/4" thick at thickest about 2 1/2" wide

I'm working on a sinew backed yew, 52" and I'm going for 28".

You should be able to get 26" draw at 49"t/t with sinew backing.
