It has been a while since i finished a bow. Good to get back into it. This bow was inspired by the Ojibwa (Chippewa) bow on page 124 of Hamm and Allely's Encyclopedia of native American Bow, Arrows and Quivers. the bow is 56" tip to tip. 1 and 1/8" wide at the handle, 1 15/16 wide at the flare out, 5/8" at the nocks. The handle is 3/4" thick.
My intention was to make a youth bow for scouts ceremonies. However, this one is going to the Cape Girardeau Nature Center to be used in programs. It pulls 28# @ 28". Smooth and easy draw with no hand shock. Perfect for youth.
