Fig. There are quite a few planted near my place.
If you're planning on harvesting some, they're a bit like avocados. Once they're ripe it's almost too late

If its something we can harvest we'll keep it around. Save on the grocery bill. Wife said fig are pretty healthy.

Yeah, you can do quite a lot with them. They're used in sweet and savoury dishes.

figs, delicious figs. Pick them when nice and brown and a little soft. Cut them in half, sprinkle just tiny pinch of brown sugar on them, and quick broil them. then add a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, and enjoy!!
