Here's a pic with leaves and fruit. Its right on the top of my head but I can't think of the name no matter how hard I try.

Post better pics of the leaves. Are the leaves all the same or are there different shapes to the leaves. Proper ID of any plant takes more than one quickly shot pic.

It's a very distinctive fruit. Yes, the leaves will be smooth edged and 3 different shapes like mulberry. Some will look like a mitten. The smell is unmistakable, scratch the bark with a knife of you cant reach a stem to break...

Sassafras has 3 distinctive smells like it has 3 distinct leaf shapes. The leaves have a lemony smell, the roots have that root beer smell and the stems and wood another smell.
