built my son his first bow

i built my son his first bow today out of an ash board i had lying around. it is 47" long and  a whopping 10# @13"  ;D. i backed it with spiderman wrapping paper.  he struggles to fulldraw yet but im sure he will soon. i havent even had a chance to seal it yet as i cant get it off him lol. hes shooting as i write. :) heres some pics

Excellent good to 'em starting young.
I remember making my kids bows when they were about that size. Sets 'em up for a lifetime of fun shootin' and makin'

He'll outgrow that bow. Just give him a chance. That is a cool little bow and I'm sure the Batman décor got him pumped.

nothing better than shooting with your kids especially that young!  I'm gonna show my boys the spiderman backing, might save me on snakeskin that they always want so bad!  ;D

thanks everyone, hes been asking for one for a while. he loves it, im sure he will use it lots.  :) i cant believe how fast a bow this light is its certainly not a toy. he will be hunting his sisters if i dont keep my eyes on him >:D

thanks everyone. dwardo it took less than a couple of hours it was pretty much tillered as soon as the shape was cut  and planed down to 1/4 thickness, a few scrapes here and there. its an inch wide and the last 7" tapers to half inch. now get yourself in the garage and build your lad one . :)
