Shipping cost. Wow.
« on: July 28, 2014, 09:58:53 pm »
I ordered a quart of Unibond 800 glue from Nelson Paint.  Price was $15.00.  Came by Fed Ex.  Shipping was $13.00  $1.00 fuel surcharge.   >:(  It wasn't local, but it didn't even cross a state line.  Is shipping cost high or what?

And handling, don't forget handling!

Probably considered hazardous goods. Post office wouldn't likely even accept it for shipping. The old urac 185 was dealt with in the same manner. Shipping is HIGH~~~

That is pretty high. I just got a box of clamps from the other end of New Zealand for USD 10 shipping. And it was pretty heavy.

Did you know before you made the purchase?
Every thing I order has something to read about shipping costs.
Hope you weren't blind sided.

Shipping costs are pretty high. I shipped a recurve up to Oregon, had to put it in a wood box (too bendy for a 4" pvc with padding).  It cost me $50.

I shipped a set of heavy osage billets to Oregon and it cost a lot more than I thought it would.   I regret making that trade.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Well the ones I recently sent out were fairly fresh so part of the problem is the high cost of shipping water  Staves aren't generally that bad. Chemicals are the culprit. USPS won't ship them.

I ship staves usps priority or whatever is cheapest.  Staves usually aren't to expensive as long as they are not to big.  I don't mind trading staves as long as the other person owns up to what they said they would

That's where incurred cost catches up Clint. The shipping isn't bad if it goes both ways.
