A Tease
« on: July 26, 2014, 08:48:14 pm »
Here's something I've been working on. I've been wanting to make a NW style bow for a while and started on it today with 5 hours of sinewing. It is Yew, two inches at the fades and was pulling 28" at 50# before sinewing. It is 51" N to N.

I'm going to paint it with natural pigments and seal it with the rendered deer fat I have. I have also made a sinew string.

Thanks, Mr. Yeti. I had to bring it inside. After the rain came the humidity was turning the sinew ad hide glue to mush.

Tracy, yea, I have it reversed. It's raining everyday lately so I'll have to see how long it will take for the glue to set.
