passing it on
« on: July 29, 2014, 02:06:56 am »
in our county library we had two books on bows and surprisingly none on flintknapping, there is a program called zip book's, all that you have to do is be a member of the library, it's free here, find a book on amazon that is under $35.00 and fill out a card , the book is shipped to you, read it for three weeks and take it to the library and they get to keep the book free, i'm currently adding the bowyers bible series and some books on knapping, I also plan on some knife making/forging book's as well, it's a great way to get book's on the shelf at the library that you have an interest in. it's a win/win situation and if they have this program I highly suggest you take advantage of it. you never know, you may supply the starting interest in the next great bowyer or knapper, or bladesmith

I think most public libraries have a find a book program where they will search other libraries for the book you are looking for.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to see if the local library participates.

That's one book that I already ordered Pat , this program gets new books for the library Pat not a inter transfer , with libraries having a hard time affording new books this is a way to help them out
