 Great looking little bow, Dell. That's a butt ugly piece of Osage, but even ugly Osage makes a fine bow. Glad to see you go Native, unbuttoned shirt and all. ;)

Tell your friend that the bow is exactly 18.18 kilos of draw weight, but that you tillered it out using avoirdupois weight and that in pounds it just sounds heavier!   >:D

I was picturing Del's face with warpaint (lipstick and rouge from Mrs the Cat's side of the bathroom) and was excited to see the results.  I must admit I was disappointed at first until I started looking at the bow.

Osage is tough but I did see a friend's  osage break there.

I lightly rasped off any loose stuff, the hole is much bigger from the belly side. The knots bulge up a fair bit so the wood is thicker. I was a bit nervous when I had to keep thinning it to get the draw weight down.
Here's a view from the belly side.
Note:- you can see the L L L for "leave" pencilled near the edge where there is dip in the grain.
