It's been awhile sense I've posted, lots of change going on this side of the cascades:)
As some of you know me and Gabe started a bow swap last September. It's been hard to find time to work on any bows lately. Luckily! I finished this bow months ago:)
I roughed this sapling out back in November, and like most yew staves I've dealt with, it dried into deflex:/
No matter what I did to heat the deflex out, it would never take. And would just end up going right back...oh well.
Barely made it through this build with enough heartwood to push back against the set it wanted to take. All and all I'm satisfied with the way this bow came out.
Sturgeon skin patch over a knot I thought might become a problem.
