Hangin' with Mullet
« on: June 23, 2014, 10:41:18 pm »
I went up to Eddie's early Saturday morning and we hung out all day Saturday making points for about 4 hours.  In the afternoon/evening when the rain started coming in we worked on a Osage woodland bow I got going for awhile.  I'm going to post the points we knocked out...the five or six points on the one side are Eddie's and the two to the other are mine.  I like the Tallahasee point of coral that Eddie helped me finish up properly.

Disappointed that I didn't take photos of the 3D shoot we went to Sunday.  It's the second time I've gone and I had a blast.  Shot a 1970 Black Bear that Eddie gave me a year or so ago for the first time on a course.  The second round I shot my little 50" Osage shorty with some dowel arrows and I didn't do too bad!!!  Tell you what, I had a smile on my face the whole time!  Just should have taken some pictures...oh well, next time!

Parnell, you were in good company with bows and rocks.
I'd have a toothy grin too!
Thanks for sharing your good time.

Yea, it was a good weekend and we ate good, too. I slow cooked some ribs and Steve brought a beef brisket. The daughter cooked some black eye peas and homemade, baked macaroni and cheese with jalopeno and some cole slaw. Then Sunday was fried corn on the cob, venison, sweet potato fries and all kinds of side dishes at the 3-D shoot.

Roger, there is a shoot every other Sunday in Oxford, just north of Wildwood. We have a little club called Long Hammock. No scoring and no rules. And your $5 also gets you lunch.
