I just get it to low brace and hold it as if I was going to shoot it,tells me all I need to know.  :) If it crosses the handle that is all that really matters,at least to me.  ;)

I clamp the handle in the vice with the bow braced and sight down the string. This is another reason I leave the handle blocky until the end.

 If I take the web of my hand between thumb and index finger and just lightly put that over the bow while I slighty pull back it seems to tell me what i need to know.

I stand and shoot the bow in a room full of smoke with a grid of laser beams and 3 high speed cameras which can play it back on my holographic TV.
Or was that in Mission Impossible IX ?
