ahh the new Patb., that knot wont be a problem, probably be all but gone by the time your done, me i'd put it in the limb and not the splice end
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.

Hey Pat.  Glad you posted this one.  As a recommendation, I would start with one of your full length staves to start with.  Glue ups just add an extra degree of difficulty that I would advise you avoid on your first bow.  Having said that, I agree with bubby, the knots no prob on the limb.

Put it near the tip end, so it will be located 11" from the tip. The average osage bow should be around 1" to 1¼" wide at that point, which means the entire knot will be eliminated in the final lay out.

I'd have to agree with these guys Pat. It will be eliminated when you draw out the limb.
