Little pick me up for a friend...
« on: June 18, 2014, 04:23:09 pm »
Decided my buddy I've haven't seen since college needs a little pick me up, so I made him this and I'm sending it without warning. 4.25" Dalton blade/point made from semi translucent Mill Creek chert hafted with pine pitch I made and a long strip of deer hide. Set into a heavily weathered red oak (unstained) handle that is finished with wax.

Great looking present.
I really like the handle. Have never seen red oak look like that.
