challenging osage
« on: June 11, 2014, 11:09:39 pm »
this started out as a crazy stave Will gave me. the most challenging piece of wood I have tackled. With help from Pappy, Chuck, and Will this piece of Osage has slowly been turning into a bow.

Yes I cut a shelf in. I always do. usually will cut it slightly past center. With the strike plate added, it brings it back out to center.

Man, the tiller looks good, especially considering what you started with.

Top limb wasn't that bad... but the bottom was a head ache.

Looks real good for a challenging piece of wood. One limb has the curves of a lasagna noodle, good job tillering.
