my new pearly bow
« on: June 08, 2014, 05:29:54 pm »
Chris and i swapped bows at Marshall this year. He showed up with a bow that I could not figure out at first. It is a elm heart wood backed with rawhide. If you look at the handle you can see the sap wood from the other side of the limb.  It is one sweet/smooth shooting bow! I love how the handle has 2 eyes that are so pronounced. He used the rawhide rough side up leaving some awesome texture and color. This bow could not shoot any better! Thanks Chris

The symmetrical grain pattern on the bow is like picture perfect. Excellent choice of wood and outstanding bow.

I had been getting pictures of this bow sent to my phone for weeks when Pearly was working on it.  It was worth the wait to see it in person.  The grain, color, sapwood, everything about it is just perfect.  Great job to both of you for the mini bow swap.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I got to hold that one too and it is nice, pretty cool the way Chris worked that one into a bow. You guys had a heck of a swap, two winners.
