Amazing SCORE at a yard sale!
« on: June 04, 2014, 10:46:03 pm »
Well the wife and I went out of town last weekend to visit the family. Drove about 2.5 hours south witch took us to Collinsvill Oklahoma. We got there early and went to a few yard sales with my cousin's. We stopped at one and he had a whole shop full of vintage tools for sale. I picked up these two for less than 75 for the both.  A 1957 Delta Rockwell 28-290 14" band saw.  And a 12" disc and 4"belt sander with a dewalt badge on it but it is made by delta in 1961 called a finisher. Both tools work great. The band saw needs some new tires and a blade and both need a little cleaning up. I'm really excited to get some staves through them. Patrick.

Nice score.
Did the Native Americans think about all this that much or just do it?

Thanks everyone! I couldn't wait to share these with you all!

Osage, I will defiantly post some pics of them after I get them cleaned up. Maybe even a video if I can.

Dang! I thought I was lucky finding that stuff. That saw is a real work horse, good find.

Thanks everyone! With a little more research I found that the sander is actually made by atlas and that all of the parts are there. With the exception of one accessory. The belt sanding linear guide.
