I saw Clint Eastwood on a rerun channel. Sammy Davis as a cowboy too!

I do love crappy monster shows. Also crappy monster movies. You just need to go into it knowing that it won't make good sense, and laugh at it instead of with it.

These types of shows remind me of the Blair Witch Project movie. I heard of people passing out or running from the theater in horror after seeing this stupid movie. When it finally came on HBO I watched it to see what the fuss was all about, all I can say is if there are people out there that would buy into such stupidity, we as a nation are in big trouble. Come to think of it, we are in big trouble and it is not because we have an excess of bright, intelligent people running around.

I do enjoy a cheesy monster flick from the 50s occasionally, most of them are laughable but a few were really well produced and acted, the original "invasion of The Body Snatchers" , "The Thing" or the "Day The Earth Stood Still" come to mind. Who can forget Michael Rennie teaching Patricia Neal the phrase to repeat to his robot in case Rennie is killed to prevent the destruction of earth, "Klaatu barada nikto", those were the days!

More movie trivia; How they made the creepy music for early horror movies with the first electronic instrument called a Theremon.

I thought I saw a Mountain Monster one time. Was glassing for Caribou up in the Torngat Mountains in Quebec and saw SOMETHING fly down a near verticle rock face at Mach 5. Turned out it was just Wirwicki "Rock Surfing"  ;D ;D ;D. Bob
"May the Gods give Us the strength to draw the string to the cheek, the arrow to the barb and loose the flying shaft, so long as life may last." Saxon Pope - 1923.
