New Year's resolutions

I ain't talkin' ab out eat less exercise more or even ask the boss for a raise.  What are your plans for new bow makin' projects next year.   
As for me I've got a couple of projects lined up and ideas for several more.  FVirst I have to do my part on the west community bow.  The I think  I'll try one of those Bhutanese style bamboo bows.   Ron

I'm doing my best to get an ERC bow blank ready for sinew backing in the first couple of weekends of the new year. I'd like to get it backed on Tues the 1st but may not have it ready by then.....should push myself to get at least one course of sinew applied on the 1st. Seems that would be a good way to start '08, but don't want to rush this bow along..

1. Work on patience while tillering.
2. Spend more time working on Vine Maple and build some efficient flatbows.
3. Harvest more yew staves (12-24 staves).
4. Build a short Osage flatbow (which I'll have to do some trading for an osage stave)
5. Meet up with John Strunk for another bow building session.
6. Meet JD Duff for a building session.
7. Send out more Vine Maple staves to people who want it.
8. Build & give away several shooter self bows, especially to some kids.
9. Let the dogs sort it out instead of me.
10.  The most important...Not letting any of 1-9 get in the way between my relationship with my wife.

  I plane to have cut and split 1000 Osage staves before i PCS to Ft Campbell..
  i know that sounds like allot but i did 100 in 3 days two years ago.  and i got from now until may.

First of all, I have to get my brain back into bow building mode.

1. Finish the bow I started back before surgery.
2. Build more bows, especially a few kids bows, try my hand at an ELB too.
3. Build my strength back and stay away from smokes (quit back in June) 
4. Spend as much time with my daughter that I can. She'll be off to college this year.
Keep Momma happy....cause if Momma ain't happy.....ain't noooooobody happy

Nice wood pile Pat. My pile is about 1/4 the size of that lol Anyways, I got a list of stuff I'd like to get done.

1. Rough out all staves in wood pile
2. Finish all unfinished bows
3. Make Korean hornbow out of Bamboo
4. Make real Japanese Yumi
5. Finish boa skin mulberry recurve for another archer
6. Make hickory backed ipe longbow 120#@32"
7. Finish all heavy longbows (75#,85#,95#,100#,110#)
8. Make 100#@32" Bamboo warbow
9. Make bamboo R/D bow for other archer
10. Make bamboo recurve
11. Make 400# siege crossbow
12. Make lots of arrows (war,bamboo,target,whistling)

Thats about it for now, should keep me busy all year.......

6. Get back to learning to knap

8. Learn to shoot with a thumb ring
9. Improve my leather working skills
10. Find time to sleep
