Ya it was strange. I've been doubting my sanity. My tillers are far from perfect but not usually that off.
This was a challenging stave, which was frustrating and fun to work with. Not surprised she fought me till the end. My elk bow is my best tiller IMO but in all other aspects I feel this is my best work to date. In the interest of full disclosure, I gave in and bought a belt sander. Powerful the dark side is!
