Place your bets ( UPDATE)
« on: December 30, 2007, 03:46:05 pm »
wELL she lives, scary to look at but remarkably shoots quite well.
Im thinking of naming her Sybil for her differant personalities.Part deflex reflex and part straight limbed longbow.I had reflex at glueup but lost it in final tillering(got to work on that). You would think the limbs would be  way out of timing but at full draw they pull together.I always liked the grip on this bow  and the cherry bark finish.I think it was worth the save.

Nice save, Ray and nice bow. It looks like it is way out of tiller at brace but full draw dispels that notion.
I also like tha way it shows the staggered splice joints in the handle area. The contrast makes it easier to see and this will help some new guys see how it should be done.        Pat

Nice bow!!  Deception would be a good name!

Wulamoc yes deception fits well also.
Thanks Pat I've been around but my camera was in repair.
I have another Hickory selfbow completed, soon to show but have not decided on the finish yet.

Nice save Ray. It does look odd at brace but the full draw looks fine.  What are the specs?

Great bow Ray. I like the color, it adds another dimension to the bow.  Justin

Cool.  If I went through my shop I could probably come up with about 10 bows that way. ;D
