Nicely done! I bet if I tried that, I'd have a handfull of chrysals.

(I have some spare chrysals I can bring along to the classic to maybe trade for some of those fancy Osage holes ;) )

Very nice, beautiful curves on that one for sure.  Looks to be a sweet bush bow.

Thanks Blaflair
Thanks Peacebow.
Thanks John
Thanks Howard
Thanks Sieddy it took some set but just made it more cozy to shoot.  I was just testing the wood and tillering and pulling.  I stopped when it started to stack.
Thanks Danny
Thanks Dwardo it was easier than I thought using Richs build along.
Thanks Ozzy
Thanks rps we will see if I send it.  I told myself that I would keep building till it got closer to the deadline and send the nicest one.
Thanks Chris the next on I do will be more of a model than a hobbit  ;)
Thanks Bob you sugar maple was gorgeous
Thanks Rich your bows make me want to get in the shop.  They are a simple beauty that is second to none
Thanks Greg this was my first try at paint and distressing.  It is very addicting I can see why you do a lot of it.
Thanks Jawge
Del chrysals are my nemesis.  This gladly has none.  The locust I have been working on has given me fits but I am working on a couple more at the moment with fingers crossed.
Thanks Grady.  I'm going to have to take it into the brush for some bunnies to see >:D

Thanks again everyone, it means a lot.
Matt

I really like that bow.   Well done Matt.
"The bow is the old first lyre,
the mono chord, the initial rune of fine art
The humanities grew out from archery as a flower from a seed
No sooner did the soft, sweet note of the bow-string charm the ear of genius than music was born, and from music came poetry and painting and..." Maurice Thompso

Nice looking bow there IdahoMatt. Don't think I've ever seen Ash that curvy around our parts. What kind of Ash is it?

Not to sure.  The tree was given to me by the director of the irrigation district out here.  It was stating to encroach on the canal somehow.  He told me he had a strait hard tree for me.  He already cut it down and it was cut into two 8 foot lengths.  So I split them out and sealed the ends.  That was about a year and a half ago now.

Incredible bend on that ash .....

Very well made little bow. Love the 'used look' from the sanded painting.
