Nock point

Most of you place the nock point on the string 3/8" above dead center wheather you place the arrow above the nock point of below.....?  If it is above that would give it another 11/32" over for that size of arrow;

I shoot a bow a lot without a nock after I build it. If it is for someone else I don't add a nock so they can set the bow up for themselves but if it is for me I figure where it shoots best and set the nock up for that. I nock over.

I never measure where a nock might go. Shoot the bow, and move the nock up and down until you get the best arrow flight and run with that setting.

I start at about 1/4 above and move up and down until I get the flight I want,then mark and tie it in. I put the arrow below the nock. :)

It helps to have a B-50 string stretched in, too, or you will be moving it when it finally does stretch.

I set my nock point 1/2" above square and nock under.

Have read elsewhere that many just place the nock at 3/8" as a starting point or 1/2" and adjust from there.   Guess I should of asked what a good starting point was.   Makes sense now.
