Hi Everyone, greetings from Wales, land of the dragon. (not me, its the national emblem). Havent posted for a while, but heres a new bow to look out.....
Its 64"n-n....bamboo backed ipe, with an oak power lam and maple kerf joint inserts to make the recurves.. Its 58lbs @ 27" The bamboo is glued in 2 pieces cut from side by side in the pole to assure symetry, I found this works better than one full length backing strip....much better infact...bows need much less tillering after construction.
It was glued up with 5" recurve and reflex combined and settled at 4 1/2", which I was very happy with...one of my nicest. smoothest bows to shoot ...feels smoother than the reflex deflex bows I usualy make.
Maybe its perfectly timed?? but I doubt it.
.......actualy there is a very slight string misalignment on the one tip.....the upper limbs are a tad too narrow for this design...but it doesnt seem to make any noticeable difference
