Thin rings don't bother me,I like them just fine,but if the early wood is as thick then I won't use it,it's nothing but crust.

the thinner the early ring the better I like it. JohnW you mean the world ant flat.

Just to be clear,about any wood will make a bow and if you have no choice go for it ,but if you can pick then why not use better stuff.
