My first bow!
«

This is my first bow, and fortunately I had help from the beginning. My hunting partner is an experienced bowyer and helped educate me on what to look for when choosing Vine Maple, in fact he was present when the limb was chose. Once the limb was cut I had the privilege of building this bow under the instruction of John Strunk, I am fortunate that we live in the same town. If it wasn't for John and my hunting partner this bow would have not performed or turned out nearly as nice as it did. She is 38lbs @ 24" with a 5.75" brace height.

Wow you hit the trifecta, you got a buddy to build bows with, you got to learn from John strunk, and you got a nice shooter first time out the gate, lucky dog, bub

You've got a nice bow there young man. Nothing like making that first bow then putting some meat on the table with it;^)
