guava bow

Hi everyone I am sil-1 I am a complete fressher I am from india (mumbai). I have been reading this forum for months now.... As a child I had this passion about bows... I made my first bow when I was 17 from wattermangroves...was shooting good..BUt after reading this forum I know it was not even close to the mark..... But now I am planning to make a real professional bow ... I have a guava stave but has a curve at one end .... Pls help ...... Need some dimensions....and advice. About curing and bending.....

Search the forum for "guava" and you'll find real nice bows made by a guy who goes by the nick "nomadic pirate" ; he has made some of the most exciting bows ever seen here on PA!

Thanks guys .....i am trying to straighten he stave in vice as it is drying....... Has anyone tried this pls let me know.          Sil-1
