I'm putting together an old Fender Stratocaster and repainting the body a vintage cream color (don't worry purists, it's not an original body). Wondering if a matching finish will work on a bow or if it would be too thick. Basically it's a coat of primer, a few coats of krylon colored spray enamel, followed by several coats of clear enamel. Then it's buffed for gloss. It's just a simple maple board bow but I don't want the finish to crack if I go this route.
