Leather Wrap

Just finishing up a bow and want to build up the handle area with leather.
Anyone know of a build-a-long for a leather wrap handle.     Do you glue down the wrap,  and what do you normally seal it with.?

its real simple 101, just cut some pcs about the size you need, glue them together with contact cement or super glue, I then glue it to the bow and bind it with stretch wrap but you can use a innertube or clamps, and when it is set start shaping with a razor and then a file and sand, I've been using cork and I like it a lot better

Not exactly what I  was looking for but anyway.   bubby I saw your leather warp build a while ago.  I'am after a build up, like to fatten up the handle area, its a bendy handle bow.  Just wanted a good reference, I went down that road before and handle looked like crap      ......I had to redo it 3 times.    and eventually ended up with a short handle area from wood. 
This bow is done as far as tillering goes, or lack there of,  just tapering.  It will be the first bendy for me.

If you want to cover the built up handle section with leather, it works really well to wet it, wrap your handle so it overlaps, then wrap it with fabric or ace bandage. After twenty minutes or so the leather will be perfectly shaped to the contours,  and you can cut it to size, poke some holes and stitch it on.

+1 on the cork....I used to use leather,but after trying cork I'll never use leather again...cork is easy peasy to apply and shape to your liking...

You can get the pre-cut show soles from your local shoe repair shop...if they exist any more.
