Tiller looks fine to me. What did you back it with? Looks like hickory.

Possibly pignut....and probably picked on purpose prior to the project.

Nice. Purdy purple.. get sum hunny-do trade-in points with that one.  ;)  Badger tells me "stiffer tips = less hand shock" She's gotta love  that.
