its shaping up and coming along nicely...spent another eve in the shop after dinner tonight....as usual I kept the kids out of her hair and busy with other things 

lets see how far and high we can launch things!!! 




and trying to nock the cup down off the wall throwing stones....they mustve done this one for an hour!!!! 





back to bow business with the wife...here she is reducing the other limbs belly meat




now for the rasping 





she has now got it to the beginning of floor tiller stage,and where its now bending some...now it needs to sit upstairs to lose the last couple percentage points of moisture...and this is where its at after tonights session....  







and ughh....um....ehhh.....yeah....it looks like were going to marshall!!!! shes gonna make the deadline for sure now  ...oh darn

after hotboxing it for a week we are ready to start bending this thing...here we are into floor tillering...both limbs are bending fairly well now,but we need to take off another ten pounds before we  do the heat corrections/shaping...if it was for me it wood be ready for it now,but I don't think she wants a mid 50's pound bow  ...we are def making headway and getting close now

After church and lunch we spent ALL afternoon playing with archery         

the wife reduced down to her lines for the front profile,and rounded the corners



the peanut fixing one of daddys workbenchs with a screwdriver   





then we continued to floor tiller and took another ten pounds aprroximetly off 







so now its ready for heat corrections next,and that's where we ended up with it today 





but that's not the end of our family archery play for the day  ......lets shoot some bows!!!!! cus that's the fun part!!!

Awesome thread.  You guys have a great thing going.  Ours are all grown up and gone now and believe me, it happened so fast....  It is great to see that y'all are taking time with your young ones and bringing them up right.  You have a lot to be thankful for.   Keep it coming -  I can't wait to see how all these bows and bowyers turn out!

Thanks Howard...they sure do grow fast...were not perfect parents or a perfect family,but spending time together now is more important and what matters no matter what we are doing ..we just happen to do a lot of archery related stuff
