Converting Compound shooters

So I had the opportunity to host a bow building class at my local archery club a few weekends ago. All of the participants are friends of mine that have been eyeballing all the bows i've been bringing to the 3-D shoots. And now they are going to be hooked and don't even know it. A couple of them are already talking about the next bow they wanna make
Decided to go with a simple red oak pyramid bow for their first one. Easy to teach and easy to tiller. This is the pics from the first class, the second class is this weekend.

Very cool Ink. Some guys just need to be exposed to the other side and they take a genuine interest and some won't be drawn to it, go figure. How they couldn't convert after seeing and holding a primitive bow is beyond me, people.
Good on you for donating your time sir.

thanks everyone. I only wish I'd had a bigger turn out, but i guess 5 is a good start. Supposedly another lady is going to be bringing her 8 year old kid at the next class. She said he's already been building his own primitive bows! Can't wait to meet this little guy and see what he's been making.
I only posted this to hopfully encourage other guys to try and make some converts for themselves. If there's no other bowyers on traditional shooters at your local Archery club then make some.

That's what it's all about Ink. Converting the world one archer at a time.

Excellent! I hope you are providing them with a way to dispose of their compounds in an environmentally responsible manner.
Don't want none of that hazardous material in the woods

Most of those compound guys/gals are instantly hooked (like I was) the first time they shoot a stick bow. They shoot it, look back at me, and have this HUGE grin on their face.

Nice work Ink. Full circle!
