Calusa tool material needed for replica project
« on: March 18, 2014, 07:04:31 pm »
I want to make a Calusa style bow with authentic materials.  This means I need some authentic bow wood, shark teeth and barracuda teeth.  The teeth don't have to be pretty, just something you can grip comfortably as a tool.  I think I have some shells from the gulf I can make into an adze and scraper.

I am willing to trade Missouri supplies like an ash stave, cane for arrows, dogbane stalks, or something else . . . Ask I may have it.

I also have some replica copper plates like the mound builders used to make.  I could also trade a freshwater mussel shell gorget.
