New project

I got this crepe myrtle stave quick dried and floor tillered. I got some sinew on the way and I can't wait to get started.
its 53" or 54" long and 1 1/4" wide

How much sinew you adding Jordo? What type of glue is in the recipe.

I'm thinking 3 layers at the most and 2 at the least. I wanna keep it light in weight. I'm gonna use Knox like I did before.

Sinew can add benefit to nearly any wood if designed accordingly.

Not to dissuade you from sinew,n just an FYI.....but I bet you could make a 26" draw self bow with it if tillered right and tempered....crepe myrtles some dense tough elastic stuff....

my original plan was to make it a self bow but i couldnt get "SINEW IT" out of my head. i have another stave im gonna make a selfbow out of while this one is curing.

Hey Jordan, I may have the twin to that stave. Just finished shooting in an osage bendy I finished and I'm sitting on my porch looking at it unstrung and the back profile has all the same bends as yours, looks the same just orange.
That stick ought to make ya a nice bow-man. :)
