Made some new arrows
« on: March 15, 2014, 07:11:31 pm »
Been working on a dozen and heres some pics of the first seven. 3 are two fletch amd 4 are three fletch. Self nocks, wild turkey primary feathers glued and sinew tied with some craft store bright colored feather tips tied into the sinew at front of fletching.  I grooved the shafts to give 'em a more primitive look  and to help keep straight, heated them over the stove and the paint is earth pigments. Got the shafts from echoarchery (an advertiser here) and am very pleased with the quality. These are spined at 40-45# and fly great out of the four different bows that I've shot them out of so far. I'm thinking they are gonna shoot great out of all my bows.  ;)      Here's a look.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Is there anything you don't do well? Another excellent job. Can't wait to see the rest.

Classy looking arrows.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

What wood Greg? They look like great Greg arrows to me! I love how we all, unintentionally, have our own "look".

Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Those are great looking arrows Greg and they match your bows perfectly, they look like they are made to go together.

Those are sweet, I hope mine turn out half as good! Great pics too!
