New static
« on: March 10, 2014, 06:10:38 pm »
Finished up another static recurve today. Just looking at the final tiller. Can someone put one of those computer generated circle thingies on my tiller? I have no clue how to do that. I wanted this bow to work pretty hard in the deep middle of the belly. I'm curious how it'll look. Thanks!

Here you go. Was done in ms paint with the oval drawing tool. Looks like a very even elliptical tiller.

I'll post this bow when I finish getting her all gussied up. SSs went on yesterday, and the finish is just drying. She's gonna look sweet, I think!

No problem at all, I can make a finer line if you would like to see that too.

Hey... that's better... makes it a bit easier to see. OK... I'm happy with the tiller. Good to go. Thanks Wiley! Appreciate it.

Man... I'm really diggin' these statics! I'm hooked, and they shoot soooo nice. Seeing good tiller has been a bit of a challenge with these... just something new, I guess. Thanks, Again!

It seems like the top limb is a little more to the right than the bottom limb might just be canted slightly downward, might of thrown off the oval. In any case, I think your tiller looks great on it.

Thanks, again Wiley! The second tiller profile picture is the first successful prototype of this static recurve design.

I think you need to drop the  circle thingy down the handle a smidge to show the true nature of things. I think the  bow would look better flipped the other way. Looks like the bow is tipping back a bit. I prefer to see the bow tip forward a hair.

Looks like you've got a new addition to your repertoire.  ;)

You bet. I'm really liking these bows. Very nice to shoot, and quick as a cat for the lower poundage.
