Long bow Boo-Ipe...42 lbs @ 28"
« on: March 11, 2014, 06:15:33 am »
Here is the last one that i made..its a long bow..its 68" long, 1" wide at the handle, and it goes really narrow twoards the tips...its a verry fast bow...now pictures..

It has 2" of reflex..it was crazzy to tiller this bow...the string keept falling of, becose of that reflex..and becose of the fact, that the bow is so narrow..
Overlays are also Yew

And the final full draw picture

What are the ridges on the back? Sort of looks like the inside face of a bamboo slat...

Looks like bamboo to me, nice. So is it a boo - yew - ipe?

Sorry guys..my mistake..its bamboo ofcours with Ipe, and overlays are made from Yew..:))..it wass dificult to tiller this bow, and specially to brace it..maaan, crazy...the string kept falling..the bow wass twistiing, becose i think i had to much reflex glued on it...i think 2.5 inches...and it wass quite crazy...but in the end i managed to fix it..yes, it is quite fast, i have to say...im glad you like it...i have another one already finished...but i need to put some shelack on it...its the sam e stuff..boo-Ipe...that one is a little bist stronger..57lbs..iwill post it here when its finished..:)
