Spicing up your bow - Leaf Carved Arrow rest

This is a cool way to spice up your bow and add an arrow rest, or other designs that will not come off your bow.  You simply apply it before you apply the finish.  The sculpt is easy to work with and permanent. And if you want to put it on the bending part of the bow, you mix it 75% 25%, instead of 50-50.  This keeps it flexible, and will not come off the bow.  In these pictures I have not sealed the bow yet:

Here is a neat way to make a built up arrow rest on a bow handle that is to narrow for a cut out rest:

And you can also use this on Syahs on horse bows, or in my case, a Fantasy type bow... but here are the pics of the tips of my legolas bow:

And of course another arrowrest, but in white this time:

You can view my simple tutorial on how to sculpt these leaves here, turn on your speakers and enojoy the music while you read it.

I also have a few videos on the detail work, click here if you want to see the videos of the detail work:

Anyway, i hope every one enjoys this tip on how to spice up your self bow.  Oh by the way, it does not work to well on fiberglass bows, it works best with all wood bows.  Read the tutorial for more specific information.

THanks for looking!
