Del my guess is you have time to make a t/d, even if you put a sleeve on an old bow
Hmmm ya got me thinkin' now.
I think I should be ok for a couple of my shorter longbows (I have one that's only 70"), but I'll have to trawl through the airline small print.

What is your draw length Del?  I'm sure we could find a bow or two for you to shoot.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

28".
But I'm sure I'll manage to get a couple over there.... even if they ain't loooong ones.
Shhhh   ;)
Don't tell but I'm bringing one over as a thank you for JW ... he's been lusting after it for ages :o
I'm hoping it can be mailed to him, some small recompense for missing the fun.

Del, 3" or 4" PVC pipe with end caps makes a good straight bow travel case and you could put quite a few longbows in it.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at the Classic.

Yup that's what I'm planning to do.
Can't wait to meet all you guys and see the stuff you do over there with wood I never see here and the different bow styles. Gotta get a try with one of those sinew backed native style short bows I just can't imagine how they draw up!

Sent payment for 5 raffle tickets.  What a cool deal.
"The bow is the old first lyre,
the mono chord, the initial rune of fine art
The humanities grew out from archery as a flower from a seed
No sooner did the soft, sweet note of the bow-string charm the ear of genius than music was born, and from music came poetry and painting and..." Maurice Thompso

We got a nice bump overnight, folks.  We are definitely on track to making this happen!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Del, prepare to be blown away when you get to Twin Oaks. Just be prepared for an overload.  ;D If it gets to be too much for you we will have a jar of medicine for you after dark.  ;) ...heck, before then if necessary.

Heck I've been dreaming about stuffing bows into drain pipes already :o.
I think I'll need some of that medicine for jet lag too... ;)
I'm hoping a good sprinkling of cat naps will keep me going.
