That stuff is infesting the Brazos valley here in texas. People are always looking to get rid of it. Everyone considers it a trash tree round here. You couldn't force me to move from this area  ;D

Grrrrr!

Don't be bitter , Adam! I'm sure it's over rated ;) It's all splintery , gives you slivers and stains your shop floor if it mixes with the snow on your boots. And after all of your hard work it just turns this horrible deep , amber colour. I'm sure that's why most guys try to cover it up with snake skins and such. I really don't think we're missing much. ??? :-\ :'(

That's why I tilt my head way back when I nap....so the sunshine will turn the golden boogers nice deep brown.  Otherwise I gotta go to a head shop to wipe 'em on the day-glo posters.

lol Adb, I'll trade you places, you can have our osage, and I will take some of your canadian yew,  :). I actually have some I can cut closer to me too, it all grows behind some factory near me. I just haven't had a chance to cut none. I don't officially have permission to cut it, but I have been for years, and nobody cares. Recently a bunch of hobos moved in and set up a big camp back there though.  :o Hopefully they all got froze out this winter,  >:D. I am still not sure if I will go up there, I would love some osage but the guy doesn't seem like he would be willing to take any photos for me. I have had a stressful relationship with my van over the years...

Last year in May I drove 1,200 miles, 18 hours one way to get to the Classic in Tennessee and came home with some primo 'sage!

(another thank you to all the people that made that possible for me!)

I am driving about 150 miles (1 way) next month to cut some osage.  Not sure I would make the trip if I had to take what was already cut though.  I just as soon pick out the trees! ;D
Enjoy the hunt!  Mitch

Since there is none here, I would drive 270 miles just on the off chance there would be a few staves in the pile. I wouldn't take your car though :D
