Here's some pics of my newest knife. Single beveled Delta mill file, annealed, reduced, quenched and heat treated, all reduction done with an angle grinder and belt sander. Hand hammered brass bolster, osage heart wood handle cut down center and flipped. (thanks Josh!) 1/8" brazing rod pins. Sealed with three coats of tru-oil and a couple of hand rubbed mineral oil/beeswax coats to finish. Black leather sheath with rawhide liner sealed w/ the mineral oil/beeswax. Questioned the single bevel, but it cuts right for right handers and is sharp. Can't use the back of the blade to push w/ your thumb though while cutting.
I over ground the bevel past center and lost the point, but that point is like a razor. I used the knife to cut some of the leather for the sheath too. Pushing the point along a straight edge. Anywho, here she is. Didn't get it done for the shoot, but it's done now. On to the next.
I like replies,
thanks for lookin, dpgratz
