New shirt
« on: February 28, 2014, 07:13:28 pm »
Sometime back I had mentioned that I was working on a shirt, and said that I would post it when I finished it. I am not completely satisfied with the finished product, but for now, here's a photo of it. The quill wrapped hair locks were done by Tomas Giesl from Czechoslovakia. The rest of the shirt, I did myself. It is patterned after a shirt that was owned by the Cheyenne, Lean Bear. I have changed a few things, but it is very similar to the original.    Curtis

Very nice. Could you put it on and show us a front and back view?

Thanks to you all. I'll try to get a photo with it on. The green paint is just a powdered pigment that I had in a jar. I can get the yellow about 15 or 20 miles from my house, but it comes in a rock form and has to be ground. I will eventually get around to making another one of these things, but I need to tan some hides first. I am running out of material!  CC

Been waiting on this to be posted.  Looks great Curt.  The hair locks finished it off nicely. Par-excellence!
