This bow was made as a back up bow for an elk hunt 2 years ago. I spent a total of 2 hours from chasing a ring to final tiller and about 15 more minutes wrapping a leather handle and adding simple knocks from a folded over piece of rawhide wrapped in thread. There are still tool marks I never bothered to sand out because I didn't think it was going to get used much.
The piece of wood was skinny to begin with so there wasn't a lot of time wasted removing wood and it was dry so chasing a ring was easy.
It turned out to be my best shooter. I left the tool marks and simple rawhide knocks because I figure if its not broke don't fix it. I have shot thousands of arrows from it. 60 inches ntn, 1 1/8 inch wide with the last 6 inches narrowing to 3/8 inch, 59 pounds at 27 inches. The arrow in the picture is about 30 inches long.
