I am not going with the idea of copying you Simon, as I think that would be embarrassing for me not for you. The elm bow is coming along though. It is not an easy wood to work with but feels very nice. I have just put on some osage overlays on the tips as I have gone as thin as I dare on this one. Today I am going to heat treat the belly after scraping a bit and then have a look at the tiller. I have not strung it yet, this is a new thing for me I am trying to do as much as possible before hand and go by feel. Dangerous I know for an oaf like me. I hope for a good heavy bow, no recurves or heat correcting, if I get lucky I will try and post a pic.

I keep coming back to ogle this bow...it is sooo nice.  I do have a question about the grip - does it work just a bit?  It seems to be pretty shallow, and I THINK it looks like it is flexing just a smidge at full draw.  Would you mind giving the handle dimensions?  Thanks!  Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful bows!
