My first arrow

I followed tenbrooks build along and made my first arrow. I've tried to make them before but failed.

I am digging it. Kinda putting of the cane I have, as hardwoods are easier. Nice looking arrow..Field point or stone point???? Inquiring minds need to know...LOL

Thanks Derrick, I shot it twice and didn't like how long it was either.

Thanks pat. I put off making arrows for so long lol. It's not too bad though.

When you grind down the head, grind down the leading edge of the bamboo as well.  Makes for a smoother entry into the target.  I grind mine on a horizontal sander and grind the edge of the bamboo down till it meets the second nail "head"

Nice one Jordan you might want to wrap your nock a little higher so it don't split on you.

Nice idea.  How thin can you go before you lose too much integrity in the bamboo?

That's hilarious, I only shot it twice and the first arrow went right into the shed lol
