Civillian Archer's Society in Florence, SC
« on: March 11, 2014, 10:48:27 am »
Well, the Civillian Archer's Society just got back from Florence, SC where we were demonstrating archery as it was in 19th century America.

Most of our regulars came out to shoot with us, including one young man who had been practicing shooting off of his horse, and had to show us! We wound up selling some bows, and after looking over our sign in sheet, we counted over 100 reenactors that shot with us over the weekend. What a blast!

In a first for us, we had our first "school day" where there were around 1,000 school children from local schools who came out to the Civil War Reenactment on a field trip, and as we were one of the demonstrators, we introduced them all to primitive archery!

Great pics!
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.
