First Knap-in
« on: February 17, 2014, 10:55:56 am »
I went to my first knap-in over in Dade City.  It was a ton of fun!  So much fun that I wrote a blog about it.  I didn't get any pictures of the event but Zuma did so I hope he posts some here or I will if he emails me any.  If any of y'all are on the fence about going to a knap-in near you I would highly suggest you go to it.  The folks there are extremely welcoming.  If you have any questions about anything they'll answer your questions and more.  I was thoroughly impressed with everything.  Anyway, point being, go to a knap-in!  You won't regret it!
Florida to Kwajalein to Turkey and back in Florida again.  Good to be home but man was that an adventure!

Just got some pictures from Zuma.

Here's a shot of Mullet and bonepile

Me in my knappin' chair.  It was amazing how fast it warmed up after sunrise.

Twistedlimbs wheelin' and dealin'.  That guy had a thing for his knives.

These guys knew how to make good camp food

Some of the arrowheads I made minus the brown glass one.  Ryan made that one.  Of course the two larger ones aren't finished yet.
