Here is a bow I am posting that was made by Mike (Almostpighunter). Here is what he had to say about this sweet little bow:
I think, if I remember right, she is 56", 54" n2n and exactly 50#@28". Beautiful knotty Osage Orange with reflexed tips and rawhide backed under those amazing copperheads. Bend through the handle tiller, which is why I went with the leather for a handle/riser that would bend with the bow.
I did end up using both copperhead skins for the bow, but I kept you waiting so long that I felt I had to make it as incredible as I could. I think the way it turned out that it was totally worth using them as I did! No worries, I am completely happy. Way I figure it, I was saving them for something special and I feel like I did exactly that... Although, if you happen to harvest any more this summer...
Great pics too! Glad to see you have a string
It's your bow, so I will leave it to you to as to whether or not to submit it to BOM.
Enjoy it in good health my friend,
Mike (Almostpighunter)
The pictures do not do this fine work of art justice. I shoots delightfully and I am very thankful.
