Todays haul.

I went rock collecting today until the high winds ran me off.

1st pic is a mix of the Agates and Jaspers.

2nd pic is what I think is Carnelian Agate.

3rd pic is a mix of Agates.

4th pic is some Jasper.

Nice haul. Some of that jasper looks like the blades I posted.

The tan stuff looks real nice when heat treated. Here is a pic of a preform that I might turn in to a Gunther point. I just want to make a few practice preforms first before I destroy this one.

that s indeed some very pretty rock! The only thing knappable really around here is obsidian and it is 70 miles away, a lot longer in the winter!

The tan / light brown usually does not turn red.  However I am heat treating the Jasper today. If everything goes well I will see what it looks like by tomorrow.
